Due to the new Tier 4 COVID-19 restrictions we have had to close. We hope to reopen on Monday February 1st 2021, if restrictions are lifted at that time.

If you need to borrow one of our wheelchairs due to an EMERGENCY situation please either email us at or TEXT us on 07711 311 622 leaving your name, telephone number and why you need the wheelchair. ONLY call this number if you have no other method of contacting us.

During this time our answerphone will not be monitored. Please do not leave messages as they will not be answered.

We will contact you, discuss your need and arrange a time for you to come in and collect. Please only contact us if you have a genuine emergency as this line and service will be manned by volunteers.

We will endeavour to contact you promptly, but please be patient as we may take a few hours to get in touch with you.

COVID-19 Help Available for Those Isolated and Forced to Stay at Home

Whilst you stay at home self-isolating and not being able to get out during this Covid-19 pandemic, help is available for you through Community Volunteers to assist with things such as collecting your medication, doing your shopping, etc. Contact: Harrow Council Community Support Scheme for Harrow Residents: Telephone: 0800 028 8327 / 0208 901 2698

Give 3 hours of your time per week and you will:

  • Make a positive difference in the life of someone with a disability.
  • Make new friends, have fun and learn a new skill.

  • Duties include registering new users, helping existing users, assisting with awareness events and fundraising.

Harrow Shopmobility Mission Statement

Harrow Shopmobility, established in March 1994, is a registered charity with the dedicated objective of promoting the welfare and independence of any person with a sensory or physical disability, whether permanent or temporary, due to disability, age, accident, illness or convalescense.

In particular, by the free loan of electric or manual wheelchairs or electric scooters for periods of up to one day, and manual wheelchairs for up to two weeks. This will enable them to access Harrow Town Centre for shopping and entertainment facilities, visiting hospitals or any other activity normally available to non-disabled people.

The service will be provided in a safe, reliable and friendly manner with priorities always being given to the needs of the Users.
