It is with deep regret that we announce that our president, Ann Scotter, has passed away. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, and by all at Harrow Shopmobility. Ann has been with Shopmobility from the start and helped to shape it into what it is today.

Harrow Shopmobility have made a donation to Bliss in memory of Ann.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

We are closed on:
Tuesdays and Thursdays

There are no Saturday or Thursday evening openings currently.

WALK IN SERVICE HAS RESUMED

Appointments 24 hours in advance are no longer mandatory. As of 24th May 2021 a walk in service is now available once again, as long as social distancing measures are observed. Please do call ahead if you can though just to make sure all is OK.

COVID-19 Help Available for Those Isolated and Forced to Stay at Home

Whilst you stay at home self-isolating and not being able to get out during this Covid-19 pandemic, help is available for you through Community Volunteers to assist with things such as collecting your medication, doing your shopping, etc. Contact: Harrow Council Community Support Scheme for Harrow Residents: Telephone: 0800 028 8327 / 0208 901 2698

Give 3 hours of your time per week and you will:

  • Make a positive difference in the life of someone with a disability.
  • Make new friends, have fun and learn a new skill.

  • Duties include registering new users, helping existing users, assisting with awareness events and fundraising.

Harrow Shopmobility Mission Statement

Harrow Shopmobility, established in March 1994, is a registered charity with the dedicated objective of promoting the welfare and independence of any person with a sensory or physical disability, whether permanent or temporary, due to disability, age, accident, illness or convalescense.

In particular, by the free loan of electric or manual wheelchairs or electric scooters for periods of up to one day, and manual wheelchairs for up to two weeks. This will enable them to access Harrow Town Centre for shopping and entertainment facilities, visiting hospitals or any other activity normally available to non-disabled people.

The service will be provided in a safe, reliable and friendly manner with priorities always being given to the needs of the Users.
